Automation Tester Trainee

Capgemini (Sogeti Business Unit)

This was a training programme in automation testing. It centred on a capstone project, not live client work. I automated tests for a demo banking app, covering the UI and the API.

What this involved:

  • UI automation with Playwright and TypeScript, structured with the Page Object Model
  • API checks alongside the matching UI tests
  • Running tests on Chromium, Firefox and WebKit
  • Setting up test data and reusable utilities
  • CI files (GitHub Actions and Jenkins) in the project repo
  • Generating test reports and finishing the ParaBank capstone project

To be clear, this was a training role, not full-time employment.
